Historic Bristol Day Sails Saturday Along Delaware River
The 46th annual event Saturday is dedicated to late lifelong resident. The Schooner North Wind will provide public sails along the Delaware.

BRISTOL, PA —The 46th Annual Historic Bristol Day takes place Saturday with the event this year being dedicated in memory of lifelong resident Catherine McCarry.
The event, which is sponsored by the Bristol Cultural and Historical Foundation, takes place Saturday, Oct. 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
McCarry, who died June 30, was a BCHF board member for several years and volunteered in numerous capacities, including the Peach Social, the organization said on its website.

"Catherine will always be remembered for her dedication to this organization, as well as to her siblings, and nieces and nephews," the organization said.
Historic Bristol Day includes entertainment, historical tours, crafters and vendors, a car show, a sailing regatta, an antique boat show, children's activities and a food court by the Delaware River.

This year's vendors include: You Need Desserts!, Fox's Funnels, Sassa Bienne, Big Sid's Southern Cusine, R & D Specialty Foods, Bread and Butter Specialty Sandwiches, Stix 2 Go, DeLorenzo's, The Burg, Maui Lu Hawaiian BBQ, Matty G Dogs and Brain Squeeze Water Ice.
The Schooner North Wind, a 75-foot premiere sailing tall ship charter vessel, owned by the Gloucester City Sail, a volunteer lead New Jersey nonprofit, will provide public sails during this scenic Delaware River family event.
Capt. Scott Hughes and his crew will take up to 30 passengers on one-hour cruises leaving from the Bristol Wharf at 10:30 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. Tickets for the cruises, though, have sold out, organizers said late Thursday.
The 11th Annual Historic Bristol Day Car Show at Snyder-Girotti Elementary School, 450 Beaver Street, will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The show includes all American and foreign antiques, classics, newer Corvettes, Camaros, Firebirds, Mustangs, Challengers, Chargers, T-Birds, street rods, exotics, luxury cars, and more. Attendees are invited to vote for their choices of favorite antique and classic car and People’s Choice trophies will be awarded based on voting results.
