'Suspicious' Fires Under Investigation At Same Bristol Twp. Home: Police

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — A house fire early Wednesday morning is under investigation, one of several that have taken place at the same address, police said.

Bristol Township Police —along with the Bristol Township Fire Marshall's Office — are currently investigating suspicious fires that occurred at 23 Yellowood Drive.

Sgt. Jason Mancuso said there were two calls were service.

The first fire happened at 3:07 a.m. Tuesday as fire crews found a small fire that was quickly extinguished, Mancuso said.

The Levittown Fire Company No. 2 responded to a fire just after 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday along with the Edgely Fire Company for a reported house fire.

Authorities said the fire was at a one-story, single-family home on Yellowwood Drive in the township's Levittown section.

Fire crews found fire showing in two sides of the home and the carport area with extension into the home.

The fire was placed under control within 30 minutes, and no injuries were reported, authorities said.

Mancuso said the fires are assigned to the Criminal Investigative Unit, and an active investigation is ongoing.

At this time, the Bristol Township Police Department does not believe the community is in any danger. He said that further information will be released if it becomes available.

First responders on the scene included: Edgely, Levittown #2, Third District, Newportville, and Morrisville Fire Companies along with the Levittown-Fairless Hills and Bucks County Rescue Squad and Bristol Township Police, and Fire Police.
