Levittown Community Mourns Longtime Businessman
Jerry Plavin operated Jerry Plavin's Appliances in Levittown. He died at age 84 on Wednesday.
LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —The longtime owner of a landmark business has died.
Jerry Plavin, who operated Jerry Plavin's Appliances, in Levittown, died last Wednesday at the age of 84 at Ann's Choice in Warminster after a prolonged battle with Parkinson's disease, according to his obituary.
Plavin was known for such catchphrases as “We Beat Any Deal!” for those who visited the store for their appliances and furniture.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and Penn State University graduate.
Plavin is survived by his wife Pearl (nee Carman), his brothers Jules (Peg) Plavin and Stan (Lisa) Plavin, his children Lori Salganicoff (Marcos), Jody Sciamanna (Eric Reeser), Ben Plavin (Pat Furlan) and Matt Plavin and his beloved grandchildren Sophia, Jillian, Joe, David and Joseph. He was predeceased by his parents Leon and Freda Plavin, and his infant son David.

Funeral arrangements were by Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Suburban North, 310 2nd Street Pike, Southampton.
