Bowman said the school district will "treat every incident as though it were real until we are confident that it is not."
He said that includes working with school resource officers and local police departments as warranted.
Students can face disciplinary and legal consequences for any threats as well, Bowman said.
"Please remind your children to keep this in mind as they go about their day and to use common sense while in school, in the community, and on social media," the superintendent said.
