Man Killed In Early-Morning Crash In Falls
Falls Township Police were called to the single-vehicle crash at 1:36 a.m. on Sunday.
FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — A local man was killed early Sunday morning when the Jeep he was driving crashed into a utility pole in Falls Township.
Falls Police were called at 1:36 a.m. to Penn Valley Road, between Wheatsheaf Road and Cedar Lane. There, they found a silver, 2003 Jeep Wrangler that had been traveling eastbound when it crashed into a utility pole.
The driver, later identified as Richard Daniel Bonfig, Jr., was ejected from the Jeep and found unresponsive, according to police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say Bonfig lost control of his vehicle and ran off the roadway, striking the pole.
