Man Sentenced To State Prison For Bristol Twp. Shooting

Terrance Oliver Hall, 51, was sentenced after pleading guilty to shooting at an occupied vehicle.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — A 51-year-old man was sentenced to eight to 20 years in state prison after pleading guilty to a shooting that took place in October of 2020 in Bristol Township.

Terrance Oliver Hall pleaded guilty to three counts of aggravated assault and one count each of prohibited possession of a firearm and firearms not to be carried without a license on Friday. According to court documents, Hall shot at an occupied vehicle at Mitchell Road and Fleetwing Drive at least six times on Oct. 18 of 2020. The driver was unharmed.

Hall also pleaded guilty to misdemeanor counts of terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, possessing an instrument of crime, criminal mischief, and possessing, using, making, repairing, selling, or otherwise dealing in an offensive weapon, according to court documents.

The victim told detectives he was driving in the area when Hall pulled up behind him in a pickup truck. After yelling "Yo!", Hall fired at his vehicle, hitting his driver-side visor and his passenger compartment areas. The victim ducked to avoid being hit and fled the scene after the shooting stopped.

Investigators found a social media video of Hall threatening to kill the victim and one other person, allegedly to avenge his son's death. Hall and the victim had never met before.

Common Pleas Judge Brian T. McGuffin sentenced Hall, with the addition of 20 years of probation. Hall had also pleaded guilty to crimes related to his fleeing of police while he was on a warrant for the shooting.
