Pennsbury High School East To Host Vaccination Site

Pennsbury School District has organized a voluntary vaccination event for students ages 5 - 11 in partnership with Rite Aid Pharmacy.

Students who wish to receive the vaccine must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. They must be between the designated ages by Saturday, Dec. 18 to be eligible.

FAIRLESS HILLS, PA — Pennsbury High School East has announced that they will be hosting a voluntary vaccination event on their campus on Sunday, Dec. 19.

The event is specifically for students in the school district aged five to 11 and is for the first dose of the two-dose vaccine from Pfizer. It will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the school's cafeteria.

Students who wish to receive the vaccine must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. They must be between the designated ages by Saturday, Dec. 18 to be eligible.

The vaccine is of no cost to families. This with private health insurance will see their insurance charged, but families will not spend any money on the shot. A Rite Aid pharmacist will administer the shot.

The second round of the Pfizer vaccine will be available to students at another similar event on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022.

Parents and/or guardians will need either a photo ID or health insurance card present in order for the student to receive the first dose. They will also require a Rite Aid consent form, which readers can find at the link here.
