Pennsbury Kicks Off 2025-2026 School Year
The Pennsbury School District welcomed students back to classes this past week and held its annual convocation for staff.

FAIRLESS HILLS, PA — The Pennsbury School District welcomed back teachers, support staff, and administrators at Pennsbury High School East for the annual convocation and then kicked off the new school year for students this week.
The convocation serves as a joyful reunion and an inspiring start to the new school year, while also honoring employees celebrating milestone years of service.
The program opened with a rendition of the National Anthem performed by Pennsbury High School junior Sasha Cheeseman.

Speakers included Schools Superintendent Thomas A. Smith, School Board President Joanna Steere, Pennsbury Education Association President Nicole Peirce, and Pennsbury Education Support Professional Association President Steve Lowden.
Each expressed gratitude to staff for their dedication and shared their excitement for the year ahead.

Adding a special touch, three students — Blake Beecham (elementary), Sean Marriot (middle), and Nivi Kanubaddi (high school) — delivered heartfelt speeches.
They thanked teachers and staff for their tireless work and reflected on meaningful moments when educators made a difference in their lives.
Closing out the celebration, the Pennsbury faculty band, featuring Scott Stout, Rachel Diniglio, Josh Suslak, and Superintendent Smith himself, along with members of the PHS Girls Cross Country Team, provided a perfect send-off into the new school year.
