Pennsbury Students Receive Top Girl Scout Awards
Several students from Pennsbury High School were award the Gold and Silver Awards for their work in the Sandy Run Girl Scouts.
FALLSINGTON, PA — Pennsbury School District has announced that several Pennsbury High School students have won the prestigious Gold and Silver Awards through their Girl Scout group.
Sandy Run Girl Scouts has several members who were presented the award in the past year for completing projects that were made to aid those in their community.
"Earning one of the Girl Scouts' highest awards challenges girls to be their best and develop, plan, and implement a Take Action project," said Rebecca Smirk, Service Unit Manager, Sandy Run #624. "Gold Award and Silver Award Girl Scouts are making the world a better place."

- Tara Shevlin, Troop 2147, received the Gold Award for her project that offers STEM opportunities to disadvantaged youth.
- Nora D., Troop 21588, received the Silver Award for completing a project supporting a local stray cat organization.
- Nina E., Troop 21327, received the Silver Award for completing a project benefiting the Dexheimer Memorial Garden at Upper Tinicum Lutheran Church in Bucks County.
- Olivia H., Troop 21327, received the Silver Award for completing a project to support Stray Cat Project.
- Isabel M., Troop 21327, received the Silver Award for completing a project supporting Main Street Theater Company.
- Rachel W., Troop 21327, received the Silver Award for completing a project benefitting the Friends of Lake Afton.
- Yardenah W., Troop 266, received the Silver Award for completing a project benefiting the Bucks County Housing Group (BCHG).
