Man Arrested After Stepfather Killed In Bucks Co.: DA
Brian Joseph Carey, 41, was arrested in Trumbauersville Borough on Wednesday night. Police are investigating the death of his stepfather.
BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — A man wanted as a person of interest in a Bristol Township homicide was taken into custody on Wednesday night.
Brian Joseph Carey, 41, was arrested by state troopers in Trumbauersville Borough on possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
Magisterial District Judge Lisa J. Gaier arraigned him, and he is currently being held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility. His bail is currently 10% of $750,000.

Carey was wanted as a person of interest in the homicide of his stepfather, Joseph Michael Jakimowicz, 78. Jakimowicz was found dead in his home in Bristol Township's Winder Village neighborhood on Tuesday evening.
During the investigation, detectives identified Carey as a person of interest and believed that he was driving the victim's car, a silver 2006 Chevy Trailblazer. The vehicle was found in Philadelphia on Wednesday.
