MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Middletown Township Police Department is trying to avoid a repeat of last year.
As Neshaminy High School holds its graduation ceremony for its senior class on Wednesday night, police are pulling out the stops to avoid the gridlock that plagued the celebration last year and frustrated parents who were late to the event.
Police said that while parking instructions for the 6:30 p.m. event have been distributed to families, they are informing the public because of the traffic impact.

Police advise those who live and travel through the area to expect heavy traffic and delays for the arrival times and departures.
"Thousands of cars will be coming and going, and we will do our very best to keep things moving," police said. "Numerous officers will be on scene directing traffic, so please pay close attention when driving near the high school. This is only a few hours of one night a year, please understand we are trying our best to run this as smoothly as possible."
