Sesame Place Holding Halloween Costume Contest

The Middletown Township amusement park is also planning a "Not Too Spooky Halloween Party" on Thursday besides Sunday's contest.

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA —Sesame Place Philadelphia is holding a Halloween costume contest on Sunday followed by a "Not-Too-Spooky Halloween Party" on Thursday.

Sesame Place invites guests to show off their creativity and not-too-spooky Halloween spirit with its annual Halloween costume contest, which features both a children’s contest and a family contest, with winners chosen based on costume creativity, execution, and audience appeal.

Six total winners will be awarded various prizes and invited to join everyone’s favorite furry friends in a special pre-show to the Sesame Street Halloween Parade! Registration information and complete rules can be found online.

On Thursday, the amusement park will hold its "Not-Too-Spooky Halloween Party," with guests invited to spend Halloween evening trick-or-treating along the iconic Sesame Street Neighborhood.

Guests can dress in their costumed best to meet and take photos with their favorite furry friends as they collect premium treats, snacks, and other goodies. All evening long, guests can enjoy soaring, spinning, whirling, and twirling on select attractions, and everyone is invited to sing, dance, and Monster Mash at Oscar’s Wacky Taxi Stage.

The "Not-Too-Spooky Halloween Party" is a separately ticketed special event with limited tickets available. Tickets are available online now, while supplies last. Sesame Place Philadelphia Season Pass Members will receive a discount when purchasing tickets.

Park Hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday

  • 10 a.m. – Registration begins at the registration table in Sesame Plaza
  • 12:30 p.m. – Children’s Costume Contest
  • 1:30 p.m. – Family Costume Contest
  • 2:50 p.m. – Sesame Street Halloween Parade pre-show featuring contest winners
  • 3 p.m. – Sesame Street Halloween Parade
