Sesame Place Introduces 'Low-Sensory Days'
The Middletown Township amusement park has two "low-sensory days" planned this month with the first on Sunday.

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA —Sesame Place Philadelphia is introducing "Low Sensory Days" this month with the first one starting Sunday.
The amusement park at 100 Sesame Place Rd. in Langhorne is expanding its accessibility program this June by adding "Low Sensory Days" on Sunday, and Sunday, June 23, to create a more inclusive in-park experience.
Traditionally high-sensory experiences at the park will be altered to make them more accessible to those who require or prefer low-sensory experiences.

On Low Sensory Days, Sesame Place will offer these modified experiences:
- Low Sensory Dine with Elmo & Friends, 9:30 a.m. —The 9:30 a.m. Dine with Elmo & Friends breakfast will be a low sensory experience, with a reduced volume level and optional character interaction for a less stimulating environment.
- Low Sensory Show, 12:15 p.m. —Guests can enjoy the 12:15 p.m. showing of “Welcome to the Party!” at Abby’s Paradise Theater with a reduced volume level and limited audiovisual effects.
While these experiences are designed to be sensory-friendly, all guests are welcome to enjoy the Low Sensory Dine and Show. Guests can access pre-planning resources, including the IBCCES Sensory Guide™, online.

Sesame Place Philadelphia is proud to be designated as a Certified Autism Center by the International Board of Credentialing and Continued Education Standards (IBCCES), and recently completed its renewal, recommitting to enhancing accessibility for guests.
The park offers accommodations including a Low Sensory Room, the Ride Accessibility Program and Special Access Pass, noise-canceling headphones for single-day use, the Family Care Center, and low sensory parade viewing and dining options.
In honor of Autism Acceptance Month, Sesame Place is giving away free Sesame Street storybooks at the Welcome Center, and Julia will be available for Meet & Greets throughout the month.
