Sesame Place Rings In New Year With Fireworks Celebration

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA —Sesame Place will ring in 2024 with a fireworks celebration on New Year's Eve.

The Middletown Township amusement park invites guests to celebrate the new year with Sesame Street's furry friends and festive fireworks.

The park will offer a variety of holiday attractions and activities, including Sesame Street-themed rides, exciting entertainment, and winter treats.

Hours are 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the park on 100 Sesame Rd. (Entry into the park will be limited to five minutes before the start of the fireworks.)

The “C...is for Celebrate!” New Year’s Eve Fireworks will light up the sky at 6 p.m. with colorful bursts of brilliance and songs from Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, and Count von Count.

Fireworks viewing areas will be available at the Sesame Street Neighborhood, Sesame Plaza, Cookie’s Monster Land, Elmo’s World, and near the Sunny Day Carousel.

For a special dessert spread and reserved fireworks viewing, guests can take advantage of the New Year’s Eve Sweet Treats & Fireworks package.

The exclusive event offers guests a Meet & Greet with Count von Count and a spread of sweet treats at Dine with Elmo & Friends at 5:10 p.m., followed by an escort to a reserved viewing area for the best view of the fireworks.

Limited packages are available online for $30 per person.

Sesame Place Philadelphia, the only theme park on the East Coast based entirely on the award-winning show, Sesame Street, was the first theme park in the world to become a Certified Autism Center.

The park has more than 25 Sesame Street-themed attractions, entertaining character shows and parades, an interactive Sesame Street Neighborhood, and everyone’s favorite furry friends.
