Staffer Struck By Student At Pennsbury High School

School officials said the incident took place Tuesday morning at the Pennsbury High School East campus.

FAIRLESS HILLS, PA — A student struck a staffer at Pennsbury High School East Tuesday morning, bringing police to the campus as a precaution, school officials said.

Schools Superintendent Thomas A. Smith and High School Principal Reggie Meadows sent an email to Pennsbury High School families alerting them to the incident that took place.

School officials said a student in one of the Bucks County Intermediate Unit special needs programs housed at the high school exhibited acting-out behaviors and struck a staff member.

The student was immediately assisted by staff and administration, who de-escalated the situation, officials said.

The Falls Township police and emergency services were called as a precaution, school officials said.

The incident was contained in one area of the building, and the student did not pose a danger or threat to any other students or staff members, school officials said.

The building schedule progressed as normal during this incident.

School officials did not say whether the staffer was injured or where they were struck.
