Tesla Burns In Fiery Crash On East Lincoln Highway
Penndel Borough Police said the crash happened on Tuesday afternoon after a Tesla collided with another vehicle.
PENNDEL BOROUGH, PA — The Penndel Borough Police Department is investigating a fiery crash on East Lincoln Highway on Tuesday afternoon that torched a Tesla.
Penndel Borough Police responded at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday to a vehicle crash in the 200 block of East Lincoln Highway, in front of the Mill Creek Village Apartments.
The crash temporarily closed the highway for several hours, police said.

A Tesla traveling westbound on East Lincoln Highway struck the curb while in the right lane, causing it to cross the roadway and collide with the rear of another vehicle, police said.
The Tesla continued across the highway, struck another curb, and subsequently caught fire.

Emergency crews worked to extinguish the fire and clear the scene.
Due to the vehicle being fully electric, firefighters experienced complications in fully suppressing the blaze, police said.
The driver of the Tesla sustained minor injuries but declined medical treatment. The driver of the second vehicle was not injured.
