Victim Shot In Neck On Lincoln Hwy. In Fairless Hills
Motorists were being asked to avoid the area Tuesday afternoon, as Falls Township Police investigated the shooting.
FAIRLESS HILLS, PA — Police in the Fairless Hills area were searching for a gunman Tuesday evening after a man was found shot in the neck on the side of Lincoln Highway.
Just before 3 p.m., a Falls Township detective came upon the victim in a vehicle alongside Lincoln Highway at N. Olds Boulevard, according to police. The victim had been shot in the neck, said police Chief Nelson Whitney.
Officers flooded the area and, according to Whitney, stopped a car in which someone initially believed to be the shooter was riding.

But, later Tuesday, police announced that they'd been given wrong information by a witness.
They described the suspected shooter, who remained at large as of Tuesday evening, as a light-skinned black male, wearing red and white striped boxers, black pants and no shirt.

The victim was taken to Capital Health Regional Hospital in Trenton, N.J., where his or her condition was not immediately known.
Police Tuesday afternoon asked motorists to avoid the area during their investigation. Residents in the area were being asked to stay indoors.
