• NC man extradited back to Union County and jailed after alleged $101,000 ATM theft (dailyitem.com) — A man from North Carolina is now jailed in Lewisburg after state police say he used a high-tech “jackpotting” scheme to steal more than $101,000 from ATMs in Snyder, Union and Crawford counties. Investigators allege he hit local bank machines in late September before being tracked to Missouri and extradited back to Union County this week.
   

• Gas prices rise by 4 cents this week (centredaily.com) — Lewisburg drivers are paying about $2.97 per gallon this week, as gas prices across the Susquehanna Valley ticked up four cents to a $3 average. The report compares prices in nearby towns and notes that, despite the bump, national prices are still at a four-year low heading into the holiday travel rush.
   

• Polcyn helps Warrior Run win thriller against Lewisburg (sungazette.com) — Lewisburg High’s boys basketball team dropped a tight 59-56 road battle to undefeated Warrior Run, despite a 21-point night from standout sophomore LJ Tucker. The Green Dragons twice erased big deficits and had two potential game-tying threes rim out in the final seconds, showing resilience that coaches say should pay off later this season.
