• Survivor speaks before judge denies convicted child abuser's request to end probation early (dailyitem.com) — A Union County judge in Lewisburg has refused to end probation early for a woman convicted of severely abusing a child in her care, keeping her under supervision until 2027. The now-teenage survivor, who lives out of state, returned to finally share her story in court, while prosecutors argued that changing the already-lenient sentence would disrespect the harm she endured.
