$390K Allocated By Chesco Commissioners To Spring City

The borough of Spring City was awarded a Community Revitalization Program grant.

WEST CHESTER, PA β€”Chester County Commissioners on Thursday approved $5 million in grants to municipalities throughout the county for community revitalization projects.

A total of $390,640 went to the Borough of Spring City to complete public parking improvements.

Chester County Commissioner Michelle Kichline said the revitalization grants are awarded in a two-year cycle to allow more funding for larger projects that benefit more people.

In 2020, Spring City was awarded a $550 million grant to provide parking lot with spaces that meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Marian Moscowitz, commissioners chairwoman, said the grants help the county's urban centers – including 15 boroughs and the City of Coatesville to ensure that crucial infrastructure needs are maintained and improved.”
