4-H Fair Opens, Potassium Iodine Tablets Distributed Near Limerick

Story time and Adult Scrabble will also be held at the Royersford Free Library Thursday.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health is distributing free potassium iodine (KI) tablets Thursday to those who live, work or attend school within a 10-mile radius of the Limerick Nuclear Power Plant at the Pottstown Health Center. Click here for more information.

The Montgomery County 4-H Festival kicks off Thursday at 4 p.m. at the county's center at 1015 Bridge Road in Skippack.  There is a $5 per-cart fee to attend the fair, which will include entertainment, food, exhibits and animals. A sale of fabric, crafts and needlework will be held on Thursday; proceeds will benefit the Montgomery County 4-H Kid's sewing program.

At 10:15 a.m., the Royersford Free Library will offer Story Time.  At 6 p.m., adults are welcome to play scrabble at the library.
