Armed Carjackers Take 2 Vehicles In Upper Providence, Manhunt Underway: Police
Law enforcement swarmed the Upper Providence area overnight and into Friday morning, using police dogs and drones to search for suspects.

OAKS, PA — Law enforcement swarmed the greater Upper Providence area overnight for an hours-long search for armed carjackers who stole at least two vehicles in the early morning hours Friday, police said.
The suspects have thus far eluded capture.
The first incident occurred at around 1:10 a.m. near the Wawa in Oaks.

A group of several men wearing black ski masks and dark clothing approached the vehicle and brandished guns, police said.
They demanded the occupant of the car get out, and they got in and drove away, according to police.

While authorities were pursuing that vehicle, another car was stolen near Black Road and Egypt Road, officials said.
After a brief vehicle pursuit, one of the stolen cars crashed at Yeager Road and S. Lewis Road in Royersford.
The occupants fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction, authorities said.
In the hours to come, police from Upper Providence, Limerick, Royersford, Collegeville, Spring City, and Spring-Ford searched the area with police canines and drones, but were unable to find the suspects.
