Child Luring Incident Under Investigation In Upper Providence: Police

A young child was playing outside when a white, balding man in his 60s pulled up, authorities said.

UPPER PROVIDENCE, PA — Police are warning Upper Providence area residents about an attempted child luring that they said took place Tuesday night.

The incident occurred at around 6:45 p.m. on the 500 block of Andover Lane.

A young child was playing outside when a gold-colored SUV, possibly a Toyota Highlanders, with an American flag on the trunk, pulled up, authorities said.

The driver did not speak, but only waved the child over to the vehicle. The child instead ran inside to tell their mother, and when the mother came out, the vehicle drove away on Thornhill Drive, police said.

The driver was identified as a white man, in his 60s, and balding, according to police.
