KOP Man Killed In Upper Providence Parking Lot Remembered For Service
Howard Hoffman, a Drexel graduate, served Upper Merion for nearly 30 years.
UPPER MERION, PA — The King of Prussia man who was struck and killed in a parking lot in Upper Providence last week is being remembered for his kindness and community service.
Howard Hoffman, 70, was a member and eventually chair of Upper Merion’s Media Communication Advisory Board for 28 years.
"Howard was raised in Upper Merion and served on the MCAB for almost three decades with distinction, and his contributions to our community will live on," Upper Merion Supervisor Greg Waks said. "My thoughts are with his family and friends during this very difficult time."

Hoffman was a graduate of Upper Merion High School and Drexel University, according to his obituary.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing and is expected to take weeks, Upper Providence Township police said.
Services will be held Nov. 3 at 10 a.m. at Joseph Levine and Sons on 1002 Skippack Pike in Blue Bell.
The incident occurred just outside the Staples store on 1844 Ridge Pike on Wednesday.
Hoffman was hit while walking in the parking lot, police said.
The driver remained on the scene and authorities said they have been "fully cooperative" in the investigation.
Hoffman was pronounced dead on the scene.
An investigation, led by the Upper Providence Accident Reconstruction team, is ongoing.
