LIMERICK TOWNSHIP, PA — A local pharmacist who was arrested and charged with child pornography back in March is now sitting in the county jail after being taken into custody and charged with the attempted rape and sexual assault of one of the patrons at the pharmacy he co-owns.

Phillip Sebrell, 47, who works at and co-owns Sanatoga Pharmacy in Limerick Township, was arrested on a felony warrant late last week after being charged in connection with an attempted rape on a woman who was a customer at the pharmacy, according to court papers.

An arrest warrant had been signed last Thursday by Magisterial District Judge Edward C. Kropp, Sr., authorizing the apprehension of Sebrell, who was charged in March with a host of felonies relating to crimes involving minor children.

Detectives confirmed to Patch that Sebrell was arrested over the weekend and sent to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of posting $250,000 bail.

Investigators said that the victim in this latest case came forward after seeing Patch's previous coverage of Sebrell.

Patch is withholding the name of the adult woman since she claims to have been a victim of sexual assault.

According to a criminal complaint jointly filed by Lower Pottsgrove and Limerick investigators, the victim, who is now 35 years old, claims that Sebrell attempted to sexually assault her during one of her trip's to the pharmacy.

Investigators say they interviewed the victim, who said she began going to the pharmacy about five years ago.

The victim claims that at one point in time, Sebrell began contacting her through phone calls, text messaging and through the Snapchat app asking the woman to send him nude photos of herself in exchange for payment, according to the complaint.

The victim claims that Sebrell paid her several hundred dollars over the years in exchange for the images.

Investigators stated that Sebrell eventually switched over to paying the victim for the images in the form of free prescription refills as opposed to cash.

Sebrell would not only fill the medications for free, but he would also fill them outside of the prescribed refills, according to police.

The victim claims that during one visit to the pharmacy back in 2019, Sebrell took her into a consultation room and began fondling her in various ways, according to the complaint.

Police said the victim claims as things progressed, she told Sebrell to stop, and that she did not consent to the physical contact with him, and she was ultimately able to push him off of her and flee into the lobby of the pharmacy, the complaint states.

Investigators said they interviewed a former technician at the Sanatoga Pharmacy, who stated that the victim and Sebrell would routinely go into the consultation room and close the door behind them.

The witness said she could not see into the room so she was unaware what had occurred when the two were behind closed doors, the complaint states.

Court records show that in this latest case against him, Sebrell is being charged with felony counts of involuntary servitude - controlled substance, criminal attempted rape by forcible compulsion, and sexual assault.

He is also being charged with misdemeanor counts of indecent assault without consent of others, indecent assault by forcible compulsion, and giving controlled substances to a dependent person.

Court records show that Sebrell was arraigned on June 25 before Magisterial District Judge Elizabeth McHugh Casey.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for July 5.

Court records show that the other case against Sebrell is proceeding against him in Common Pleas Court.

He was formally arraigned on the previous charges back in April and held for court on the charges.
