A Month Later, Search Continues For Beloved Royersford Dog Pistol
Family, residents, police, and even local businesses are not giving up on Pistol. But it's been a long time since he's been seen.

ROYERSFORD, PA β A month later, the search continues.
Pistol the dog has not been seen since Jan. 23, when trainers who were caring for him said he went missing from the area of 88 N. Limerick Road in Royersford.

"I miss him terribly and each day is harder than the last," his owner, Breanna Pelleschi, said. "I am begging and pleading that if anyone has any information to please contact me immediately."
Pistol's family had dropped him off at Mannerly Canine in Limerick back on Nov. 2 for training.

The training was only supposed to last a month, but owners kept pushing back the pickup time, saying that Pistol needed more time. Finally, on Jan. 23, the day Pistol was supposed to be picked up, trainers said he escaped from an outdoor pen area.
There's been no sign of him since.
Pistol's story has gained significant traction online, with hundreds of social media shares and news coverage. Local businesses like Wilke's Pizza & Sandwiches and Spring-Ford Car Wash have helped by handing out flyers describing Pistol, Pelleschi said.
Pistol does have a microchip, and is neutered.
The 40-pound red German Pinscher is described as skittish. If he's seen, he should not be chased, as he will run. It's possible he will approach if you have treats.
