Royersford Businesses Planning Community Day
September event will showcase local stores, home-based businesses

Several Main Street businesses will open their doors to the community on Sept. 10 from 10:00am to 4:00pm for a business expo and community fun day.
Participants currently include , and , among others.
Jan Christman, owner of Christman Jewelers, said at Tuesday’s that the Royersford Business Association wanted to make this event special this year, to showcase local businesses, both storefronts and home-based businesses such as Tastefully Simple.

"We wanted to make this a community day instead of having a sidewalk sale," Christman said.
Christman and Annamarie Chestnut, owner of Annamarie’s, were at Tuesday’s meeting to request approval from the board to close Main Street between 3rd and 5th Avenues. The board granted the request.

The plans include a classic car show, live entertainment by two local bands, a kids’ play area and craft and food vendors. will be providing tables near the food vending area so that visitors can sit down and eat during the day.
The classic cars will be parked along Main Street. Each business will be awarding a trophy.
"We’re hoping the borough might want to do a Mayor’s Trophy that people can vote on," Christman said.
