Saving Lives Earns Limerick Fire Marshal A Commendation
Fire Marshal Shaun Semmeles was recognized for his quick response to provide aid to others when an explosive device unexpectedly detonated.

LIMERICK, PA — Limerick Township supervisors at a recent meeting commended Fire Mashal Shaun Semmeles for his quick reaction during an unexpected detonation of an explosive device during an FBI training session.
The crowd applauded as Kenneth W. Sperring Jr., chairman, present Semmeles with the commendation for his reaction during a Sept. 15 FBI training session.
“Shaun immediately responded and provided medical attention that saved the lives of those injured that day,” Sperring said.

The Montgomery County sheriff’s department also recognized Semmeles with an award of heroism for rendering aid to those individuals injured.
