Spring City Man Guilty In East Vincent Killing: DA
The man shot the victim four times outside of his apartment and then began punching him, officials said.
SPRING CITY, PA β A Spring City man who police said shot and killed a 33-year-old victim has been convicted of first degree murder, according to court documents.
The incident occurred on April 15, 2023 in front of the Park Springs Apartments in East Vincent Township.
Quinzell Mickey, 41, arrived to the apartment in the middle of the night with 33-year-old William Stafford, according to the district attorney's office.

Mickey then fired two shots at Stafford as they got out of the vehicle, officials said. Stafford fell to the grand, and Mickey stood over him, firing two more shots and then punching him as he was dying, police said.
βThis was a senseless and brutal murder," District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe said in a statement. "Our condolences go to the family and friends of the victim."

Mickey's exact motivation in the killing was not clear.
After the shooting, Mickey returned to his girlfriend's apartment before fleeing into the nearby woods. He eluded capture for around four months until Aug. 2023, when he was taken into custody.
Mickey will be sentenced in the coming weeks. He faces a minimum of life in prison for first degree murder.
