The Spring-Ford Area School District is currently in the running to win a $15,000 from the <a href="https://www.anaphylaxis101.com/raise-your-hand.aspx" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Raise Your Hand for Anaphylaxis Awareness initiative</a>, which aims to help school communities be more aware and better prepared to respond to life-threatening allergic reactions. To win the competition, <a href="https://www.anaphylaxis101.com/raise-your-hand.aspx" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">residents need to sign in and vote for Spring-Ford</a>, which can be done on a daily basis through Oct. 1.  Currently, the Spring-Ford is in sixth place out of schools from across the country with 2,346 votes. Cheektowaga-Sloan Union Free School District in New York tops the list with 9,637 votes.
