Spring-Ford SD Competes for $15K Anaphylaxis Grant

The grant could help to fund educational programs on life-threatening allergies.

The Spring-Ford Area School District is currently in the running to win a $15,000 from the Raise Your Hand for Anaphylaxis Awareness initiative, which aims to help school communities be more aware and better prepared to respond to life-threatening allergic reactions.

To win the competition, residents need to sign in and vote for Spring-Ford, which can be done on a daily basis through Oct. 1. 

Currently, the Spring-Ford is in sixth place out of schools from across the country with 2,346 votes. Cheektowaga-Sloan Union Free School District in New York tops the list with 9,637 votes.

The $15,000 grant will allow winners to implement educational programs in the school district geared towards anaphylaxis-specific educational activities.
