Suspect Watched 9-Year-Old Sleep After Breaking Into House: Police

COATESVILLE, PA β€”A 24-year-old Coatesville man who is accused of breaking into a home four times to watch a 9-year-old sleep was arrested Wednesday, Coatesville police said.
Jefferson Gonzalez is in Chester County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail after being arraigned before District Judge Gregory Hines on charges of stalking, burglary, interference with custody of children, and related charges.
Coatesville police said Gonzalez broke into the home on Pennsylvania Avenue four times, including on Christmas Eve, to watch the girl sleep.
Detective Jose Colon said police received a tip about a man breaking into the home on the Coatesville police anonymous tip app and then put out a warrant for Gonzalez’s arrest.
β€œWe appreciate that individuals have provided information and utilized our anonymous tip app,” the detective said.
Homeowner Tiffani Szabara told NBC 10 that Gonzalez broke into the house by crawling in a window and entering through a broken back door.
As a result of the incidents, Szabara said, her daughter is terrified and sets an alarm on her table to check if the house is locked.
