What Is Potassium Iodide? Why It's Distributed Near Limerick Nuclear Plant
Local authorities continue with emergency preparedness measures with the Limerick Generating Plant nearby.
Two distribution events will be held on Thursday, Aug. 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The events will be held at the Pottstown Health Center on 364 King Street and the Limerick Fire Company on 390 W. Ridge Pike. Naloxone kits will also be available at the Pottstown location.
Tablets should only be taken when instructed by state health officials during an emergency.
