• Commissioners to consider update to hotel tax ordinance (lockhaven.com) — Clinton County commissioners in Lock Haven are set to vote Thursday on updating the hotel tax ordinance to clearly name the Clinton County Economic Partnership as the official recipient of tourism funds and adjust how businesses submit payments. The change follows an audit that questioned past distributions and aims to clarify who serves as the county’s tourism promotion agency under state law.
   

• Clinton, Centre, and Philadelphia County Methamphetamine Ring Taken Down by PSP Task Force (crimewatchpa.com) — A major meth trafficking ring affecting Clinton, Centre, and Philadelphia counties has been dismantled in a case centered out of Lock Haven, with eight suspects jailed in Clinton County Prison. State Police say recent raids seized more than 22 pounds of meth, cash, a car, a stolen handgun, and other drugs, with additional court hearings set for later this month.
   

• Pennsylvania Now Offering Free College Credits to Law Enforcement Officers Though Commonwealth University (gantnews.com) — Lock Haven–area officers now have a new path to free college credits, thanks to a statewide deal letting law enforcement earn up to 16 credits through Commonwealth University. Because Lock Haven University is part of Commonwealth, local officers who’ve completed ILEE training can immediately apply those credits toward a degree and potential career advancement or transition.
