Ex-Husband Violates Court Order By Locking Himself Inside Ex's Bedroom
Robert Brennan had been ordered to stay away from his ex-wife, but police say he flouted the court's directive.

LOWER MORELAND, PA — Police in this eastern Montgomery County community say they arrested a man who openly flouted a court order that barred him from contacting his ex-wife and going to her home, going as far as locking himself his ex-wife's bedroom on one of the numerous occasions he illegally entered the residence.
Lower Moreland Police arrested Robert Brennan, 82, late last month after he repeatedly violated a Protection From Abuse Order that had been taken out by his ex-wife, who had been deemed by the courts to be a "incapacitated person," due to her age and mental state.
According to an account provided by the Lower Moreland Police Department, it all began back on May 23 when officers responded to a report of a person trespassing at a residence on Woodland Road.

An individual who was assigned as a court appointed legal guardian to the woman had informed police that the resident's ex-husband, Brennan, was not welcome at the home, according to a police report.
Brennan, however, showed up to the residence on numerous occasions throughout the spring months, police stated.

In early April, police said, a judge ordered Brennan to have no contact with the woman, and to stay away from the home, but Brennan again defied the directive, and showed up at the home again on May 19.
Then, on May 23, Brennan was served with the PFA that bars him from going to the Woodland Road residence and restricts him from having contact with his ex-wife, something that was explained to him by his attorney, police stated in their report.
Just three hours later on that same day, however, Brennan's vehicle was again parked outside his ex-wife's home, and when officers arrived on scene they watched as Brennan walked past the front door and run toward the rear of the home, according to police.
Brennan ultimately made his way inside the home and locked himself in his ex-wife's bedroom, police stated.
Brennan was then again arrested and charged with violating the PFA order.
Court records show that Brennan is also being charged with felony-grade criminal trespass as well as a misdemeanor count of defiant trespass.
Records show that he has a formal arraignment scheduled for July 6.
