Flood Advisory for the Area through Noon
Some parts of Montgomery County may see more than two inches of rain.

About an hour ago, the National Weather Service, out of Mount Holly, N.J., issued a flood advisory and an urban and small stream flood advisory for minor flooding of poor drainage areas in Montgomery County and the surrounding area.
According to the advisory, heavy rain is moving through the area and some locations may see more than two inches of rain this morning.
The advisory lasts until noon.

In case you were wondering, according to the National Weather Service, an advisory:
“Highlights special weather conditions that are less serious than a warning. They are for events that may cause significant inconvenience, and if caution is not exercised, it could lead to situations that may threaten life and/or property.”

The National Weather Service says to be especially careful of elevated levels of small creeks and streams; in addition, it says not to drive cars through areas where water covers the roadway.
