Gas Prices Rise for Second Week in a Row
Local gas prices went up more than 8 cents in the last week.

Pennsylvanianβs are paying about 7 cents more this week for gas than last week; the second week in a row for an increase above a nickel, according to AAAβs Fuel Gauge Repor.
AAAβs weekly fuel update states that this is the highest price leap since the end of May. The price per barrel of crude oil, which gasoline is made from, cost $88.43 this week. More than $10 higher than the lowest price this year, $77.69 set in June.
In the Philadelphia market (including Bucks and Montgomery), the average price for self-serve regular unleaded gasoline is $3.539 per gallon which is 8.4 cents higher than a week ago; 4.5 cents lower than a month ago and 21.6 cents lower than a year ago.
