Huntingdon Valley Man Caught with 20-Inch Pot Plant
The following was reported by the Lower Moreland Police Department.

On August 2, an officer from the Lower Moreland Police Department was assisting the Bryn Athyn Police Department on a pedestrian stop in the area of Buck Rd. and Huntingdon Pike. The officers observed Rondald Lenkiewicz Jr., 37, of Huntingdon Valley, drop a plant that he was holding in his hand on the sidewalk along Buck Road. He then dropped a small metal object on the ground and the officer stopped him for an investigation.
The plant was 20 inches tall with a small dirt-covered root ball. The plant had leaves with five serrated leaflets consistent with a marijuana leaf. The plant had the slight odor or marijuana, according to the report. The small metal object was a wood chisel with a red handle and dirt on the metal.
Lenkiewicz told police that he found the plant in a wooded area off Byberry Rd. He claimed he found the plant while walking in the woods and he planned on planting it in another location.
