LOWER MORELAND, PA β Kermit has some new lifesaving protection thanks to community support.
The Lower Moreland Police Department's first-ever canine dog has received a brand-new bulletproof vest to help protect him when he's out patrolling the community.

Funding can be an issue for many area police K9 units as they are often self-funding, so fundraisers like the mini stuffed Kermit toy sale can go a long way toward ensuring police dogs and their handlers are given the support they need to carry out their mission.
Kermit works alongside his human partner, Lower Moreland Officer Sierra Volkert.
