Lane Closures Near Lower Moreland Starting Aug. 30 For Road Work

Traffic in and around Lower Moreland may be delayed due to water main replacement work that could stretch into 2022.

BRYN ATHYN, PA β€” Drivers in the region may experience delays due to lane closures while utility crews begin water main replacement work.

Aqua PA is scheduled to start work relating to the replacement of a water main in Bryn Athyn Borough on Huntingdon Pike and Tomlinson Road on Aug. 30.

The roadwork will cause lane closures and flaggers are scheduled to be onsite to direct traffic between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., according to an announcement from Lower Moreland Township.

The work will take place on Huntingdon Pike between Tomlinson Road and Carriage Road, and on Tomlinson Road between Buck Road and Huntingdon Pike.

The lane closures will occur as Aqua crews work to replace the water main during the above hours throughout the workweek.

Motorists are urged to check road conditions and plan accordingly as the lane restrictions could cause traffic delays.

The project is expected to continue until the end of the year and possibly even into early 2022.
