Laser Tag, Rolling Skating, Scavenger Hunt Offered at Summer Camps

The 2013 Summer Recreation Program will feature tons of fun events for kids in Lower Moreland.

Lower Moreland Township is now accepting registration forms for the 2013 Summer Recreation Program, which starts on June 24.

Residents can download the registration form here. You can also register by mail or in person at the Township Building, 640 Red Lion Road. Registration opens April 1 and the max enrollment is 140.

The 2013 program provides "Theme Weeks," including a Scavenger Hunt, "Minute to Win It" Tournament, Laser Tag, Roller Skating, Carnival, Camper All-Star games and much more.

Summer camps will take place at Murray Avenue Middle School are open to children who will complete Grades 1-6 in the 2012-13 school year. Transportations will need to be provided by parents.

The camps will run Monday, June 24 to Friday, August 2; Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Children should bring a snack of light lunch and a water bottle. There will be no camp on July 4.

Fees are $300 per child. The registration includes all activity fees and transportation costs for trips. A $20/day guest fee will be charged when accompanied by a program registrant. No refunds or adjustments will be made

Children are encouraged to wear clothes suitable for recreational activities. Sneakers are required for protection for gym floor. Sunscreen is recommended for outdoor activities.
