LOWER MORELAND, PA — A portion of Red Lion Road in Lower Moreland is once again open to vehicular traffic after being closed off for the replacement of a culvert.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced this week that Route 63 (Red Lion Road) over the Huntingdon Valley Creek has been reopened after work crews replaced a 92-year-old, 14-foot-long by 20-foot-wide culvert.

The new culvert, which is 50 feet wide and constructed of precast concrete, is designed to improve traffic flow for the more than 13,000 vehicles that travel over the structure every day, according to PennDOT.
