Lower Moreland Police Investigate Motor Vehicle Theft

Lower Moreland Police say a vehicle was stolen overnight this past Sunday from a home near Heaton and Byberry Roads.

LOWER MORELAND, PA — Police in this eastern Montgomery County community are investigating a motor vehicle theft that took place during the overnight hours this past Sunday.

The Lower Moreland Police Department said detectives are looking into who stole a white 2020 Audi A4 sedan from a home located near the intersection of Heaton and Byberry Roads.

The vehicle, which was taken sometime between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m., was later recovered by officers with the Philadelphia Police Department's 22nd District, which is located in North Philly.

Lower Moreland officers say that video surveillance shows the theft in progress. In the video, two male suspects wearing light colored hoodies and sweatpants are witnessed taking the car from the scene.

One of the suspects is shown wearing a black fanny pack around his neck as well as a black face mask and black sneakers, according to police.
