
Holy Redeemer recently held its annual Employee Scholarship Award Ceremony and Luncheon to recognize the following outstanding full- and part-time employees and volunteers seeking to further their education:
- Rosemary Dolan of Philadelphia, Hostess, Holy Redeemer Lafayette Dining Room; Paullita Moore-Hall of Philadelphia, PA, RN, Holy Redeemer Hospital Inpatient Hospice Unit; and Kristina Small of Philadelphia, PA, RN, Holy Redeemer Hospital Intensive Care Unit, each received the Margaret Helen Dudley Scholarship ($7,500 each). This fund was established by the Estate of Esther Dudley to provide scholarship grants to eligible candidates in the field of nursing and in general to foster nursing education in the healthcare field.
- Eileen M. Zebrowski of Delran, NJ, Evening Shift Supervisor, Holy Redeemer Lafayette Skilled Nursing Unit, received the John and Helen Gallagher Scholarship ($2,000). The Gallagher Family established this fund to provide scholarship grants to eligible candidates for the pursuit of studies in the field of nursing.
- Tracy A. Miller of Fairless Hills, RN, Holy Redeemer St. Joseph Manor Skilled Nursing Unit, received the Catherine A. and Edward A. Watson Scholarship ($3,000). This fund was established by Holy Redeemer Health System, upon receipt of an endowment gift from Anne V. Ballinger and Edward J. Watson to honor their parents, Catherine A. and Edward A. Watson, and to provide scholarship grants to eligible candidates for the pursuit of studies in the field of nursing.
- Melin C. Kanasseril of Lower Moreland, Volunteer, received the Marion C. Borss Scholarship, which is awarded to selected, active Holy Redeemer volunteers ($1,000). The Holy Redeemer Hospital Auxiliary established this fund to provide scholarship grants to those wish to pursue or further their education in any health or applied sciences degree/certification program or any health-related fields.
Recipients were required to complete an application, which considered past educational accomplishments as well as future educational and professional goals, demonstrated financial need, and their personal commitment to their community and the mission of the Sisters of the Holy Redeemer.
