Man Caught Stealing Scrap Metal at Jade Corporation
The following was reported by the Lower Moreland Police Department.

Police responded to the Jade Corporation, 3063, Philmont Ave., on August 30 for a report that someone was stealing scrap metal from a dumpster behind the business. When police arrived they found a white male standing by a red dumpster. As an officer approached the male, the male threw his arms above his head and said, “I knew I was going to get caught.”
When police asked him to elaborate on his statement, the male said, “my buddy bet me I couldn’t take those drums.” The male pointed to a black drum sitting on a pallet near the back of the his truck, which was backed in towards the dumpster with the tailgate door off the truck.
The male, identified as Raymond Acosta, 43, of Morrisville, attempted to take a drum of scrap metal containing stainless steel. Police observed another drum near Acosta’s car that contained aluminum. The stainless steel drum weighed 420 lbs. and the aluminum drum weighed 162 lbs. The owner of Jade said both drums costs approximately $169.
