Montco Bar Security Guard Beat Patron Unconscious: Police

LOWER MORELAND, PA — A security guard at a Montgomery County bar has been arrested after police said he knocked a patron unconscious during a recent incident.

The disturbance occurred on June 29 at around 1:49 a.m. near the corner of Pine Road and Philmont Avenue in Lower Moreland Township.

Several patrons were leaving the bar and restaurant when they became involved in a "physical dispute," officials said.

The guard, Kris Michael Sanchez, 35, approached the crowd and "began throwing punches," according to police.

One of the patrons he hit fell to the ground and was knocked unconscious, officials said. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Sanchez has been charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, and harassment. A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
