Montgomery County Woman Charged In Connection With Hit-And-Run Incident
Kathleen Craven, 58, of Hatboro, was charged in connection with an April hit-and-run that left a victim with head injuries.

LOWER MORELAND, PA — A Hatboro woman is facing criminal charges after police say she struck another motorist during a hit-and-run incident back in April in this eastern Montgomery County township.
Kathleen Craven, 58, is facing numerous misdemeanor counts after Lower Moreland Police officials say she left the scene of a traffic accident back on April 10 that had resulted in the other driver suffering head injuries.
Officers received a call of a vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of Huntingdon Pike and Byberry Road, after which they discovered a driver of a Toyota Camry pulled off to the side of the roadway who was complaining of head pain after being struck by a Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

A police report says that the victim told officers the driver of the Monte Carlo rad a red light and struck their vehicle, causing the Camry to sustain heavy front-end damage.
The Monte Carlo then fled the scene of the accident.

Nearby surveillance cameras captured the Monte Carlo immediately after the crash, according to police. It was found to have heavy passenger side damage.
Police eventually caught up to the vehicle, which was spotted parked in a Giant supermarket parking lot on Second Street Pike off of County Line Road. It had counterfeit inspection stickers on its windshield at the time, according to the police report.
Investigators soon learned that the Monte Carlo belonged to Craven.
Police said that Craven ultimately admitted to detectives that she had been the one driving the Monte Carlo and that she fled the scene after striking the victim's vehicle.
Court records show that Craven was initially charged with a total of three misdemeanors and four summary offenses.
Two misdemeanor counts of accidents involving death or personal injury, however, were dismissed at the lower court level, according to records from Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.
Craven was held for court, however, on a misdemeanor count of accidents involving damage as well as the summary counts of failing to stop and render aid, failing to notify police of the accident, failure to stop at a red light and operating a vehicle without valid inspection stickers.
Records show that a formal arraignment has been scheduled for August 10.
