LOWER MORELAND, PA β Officers in this eastern Montgomery County township ended up arresting two men on drug and other charges after giving them a courtesy ride back to their broken-down vehicle earlier this month.
The Lower Moreland Police Department announced that they arrested two men and charged them with various criminal counts back on April 13 after officers found a vehicle parked at a Sunoco gas station on the 2800 block of Philmont Avenue that was left unattended with its driver's side door open.
The vehicle also did not have a driver's side door handle, a passenger's side sideview mirror or a passenger's side door handle.

Officers said they began to patrol the area and eventually located two men who stated that they had run out of gas and had left the Nissan Altima at the Sunoco station.
The men were given a courtesy transport back to the Nissan, but upon arrival the officers said they conducted a further investigation and found drugs, drug paraphernalia, gun ammunition and possibly a stolen registration plate inside the vehicle, according to the police department.
