Township Honors Local Resident for Prestigious Girl Scout Gold Award
The Gold Star Award is received by less than six percent of all Girl Scouts.

The Lower Moreland Board of Commissioners recently honored a local resident for earning the Gold Star in Girl Scouts.
The Gold Star is the highest honor that a Girl Scout can receive and commissioners commended Melissa Sirkin with a certificate to show their appreciation.
"Melissa Sirkin recently completed the rigorous requirements to obtain the Girl Scouts Gold Award, the highest honor in the Girl Scouts, earned by fewer than six percent of all Girl Scouts nationally," Lower Moreland Vice President Jill Blumhardt said.
