2nd Vehicular Homicide Plea For Man Serving Time For Montco Crash
Devon Michael Lindeman, 24, will be sentenced in December in connection with the vehicular deaths of two motorcycle riders in June 2020.

LEHIGH VALLEY, PA — A man already serving a state prison sentence for a DUI-related vehicle crash in Montgomery County that killed a 63-year-old Chester County man has pleaded guilty in a separate homicide by vehicle case in the Lehigh Valley, and he is scheduled to be sentenced for his crime early next month at the Lehigh County Courthouse.
Devon Michael Lindeman, 24, of Allentown, entered negotiated guilty pleas late last month to
two separate felony counts of homicide by vehicle and two summary-level offenses in connection with the June 2020 crash that killed Robert O'Rourke, 55, and Mary O'Rourke, 54 in the Lehigh Valley, according to court records from the Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas.
Sentencing in that case has been scheduled for Dec. 7 before Lehigh County Common Pleas Court

In the Montgomery County case, Lindeman pleaded guilty last spring to felony counts of homicide by vehicle while DUI and aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI, and misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence with a high rate of alcohol and recklessly endangering another person.
Lindeman's blood alcohol concentration was determined to be somewhere between 0.10 percent
and 0.16 percent at the time of the fatal crash.
The legal limit is 0.08 percent in Pennsylvania.
The Lehigh Valley charges were filed three months after Lindeman caused the fatal crash that took Conaway's life on Sept. 18, 2021, along a stretch of South Park Avenue in Lower Providence Township, Montgomery County.
In the Lehigh County case, prosecutors said that Lindeman was driving his FedEx truck along State Route 145 in Whitehall Township on June 21, 2021, when he veered into the oncoming lane and struck a motorcycle, killing the O'Rourke's in the process.
Investigators said that Lindeman was not wearing his seatbelt at the time and had fallen onto the passenger side floor when he lost control of the truck, at which time he struck the motorcycle when the truck veered into the northbound lane of the roadway.
The married couple died from multiple blunt force injuries and their deaths were ruled
accidental by the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.
