The Allegedly Drunk Driver Who Caused A Fatal Lower Providence Crash Held For Court
Devon Michael Lindeman, 23, of South Whitehall Township in the Lehigh Valley must face charges in Common Pleas Court in a fatal DUI crash.

LOWER PROVIDENCE, PA — The Lehigh Valley man who police said was drunk when he caused a fatal car crash in Lower Providence Township that claimed the life of a Chester County man back in September must face charges in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.
Records from Magisterial District Court show that Devon Michael Lindeman, 23, of South Whitehall Township in Lehigh County, was held for court on all 22 criminal charges against him, meaning his case will proceed to state court.
The charges stem from a Sept. 18 car wreck that took the life of 63-year-old Paul Conaway.

Police say that Lindeman was driving drunk along South Park Avenue on Sept. 18 around 11:45 p.m. when his vehicle collided with a vehicle operated by Conaway.
Two of Conaway's passengers were injured in the crash.

Court records show that a preliminary hearing took place on Tuesday during which Magisterial District Court Judge Cathleen Rebar determined that there was enough evidence for the case to proceed against Lindeman at the Common Pleas Court level. Common Pleas Court is the state trial level court.
Records show that a formal arraignment has been scheduled for Feb. 2, 2022. Lindeman remains free on cash bail.
Lindeman faces five felony counts including homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, homicide by vehicle, and aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence. He also faces various misdemeanor charges and summary violations.
